Mental health issues are very common – it’s important to remember that you’re not alone and that recovery is possible. In Your Stories you can read about the experiences of other people who have been supported by the Wellbeing service, and how we have helped them to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

If you would like to share your story, please discuss this with a member of the Wellbeing team and they can advise you how best to do this.

Susanna’s story

Susanna was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after a life-threatening operation. She contacted the Wellbeing service and started attending cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) sessions which have helped with her recovery. Read the full story

Steve had struggled with mental ill health for some time and lost interest in life following the death of his wife in 2010.
