Online CBT - SilverCloud
You are now able to sign up to our online therapy programme by completing the self-referral form. The last question on the form asks for your main reason for making this referral – type in ‘SilverCloud’. You will be offered as assessment appointment over the phone where we can make sure this is the best option for you, and then you can get going on the programme.
SilverCloud allows you to access the programme in your own time, at your own pace and is very flexible and easy to use – but with the support of one of our practitioners along the way.
You will have up to six online reviews with your supporter, approximately every two weeks. You do not need to be online at the same time as your supporter but instead you leave comments and complete questionnaires which your supporter will pick up on an agreed date, leaving you feedback and further suggestions for what to work on next. You will see this next time you log in. Together with your supporter, you will be able to monitor your progress and track your mood.
Most people complete the programme in 6- 12 weeks. Once you have finished your reviews with your supporter, you will continue to have access to SilverCloud for a further 9 months should you need a recap on the tools and techniques that you have learned.
What is SilverCloud?
SilverCloud is an exciting new online programme suitable for people aged 16 or over that is designed to help you learn techniques to overcome symptoms of low mood and anxiety. You’ll also have access to a variety of tools that help you with setting goals, problem solving and other practical life skills.
SilverCloud is a flexible programme that you can access anywhere, whether at home, work or elsewhere. You can use it on your computer, tablet or mobile phone.
The idea of this programme is that you can work at your own pace with regular reviews from your therapist who can help to guide and motivate you through the programme. It consists of evidence based techniques based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which are recognised to have a positive impact on low mood and anxiety.
